Using macros in Backup Deluxe 2005.

You can use the following macros to name files:

%NAME% - job name.
%DATE%
%TIME%
%YEAR%
%MONTH%
%DAY%
%HOUR%
%MINUTE%
%SECOND%
%MILLISECOND%

All macros are intuitive and do not require a detailed description.

When you create copies on an FTP server, you can specify macros only in the Naming field. In other cases you can use the Path field as well. For example, I use the following settings:

Naming: %TIME%
Path: G:\Backups\%NAME%\%YEAR%-%MONTH%-%DAY%\

Along with macros, you can also use any valid characters in file names. If you use some invalid characters, the program will replace them with the hyphen character.
